Since September 20th, Lebanon has been grappling with the devastating effects of a rapidly escalating war between Israel and Hezbollah. This conflict has placed an unbearable strain on civilians, forcing 1.2 million people to flee their homes amid heavy bombardment. The Lebanese government’s latest estimates highlight the overwhelming scale of displacement, with countless families now struggling to find safety and security in a nation already burdened by economic and social challenges.
Terrified civilians have been fleeing from bombed areas, leaving behind their homes, belongings, and livelihoods. Tens of thousands of men, women, and children have sought refuge across various regions of the country, including Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the Bekaa, and the northern areas of Tripoli and Akkar.
Currently, over 186,400 individuals are crowded into 1,023 shelters, 822 of which are already operating at maximum capacity. Many more are left with no option but to take shelter in their cars, public spaces, or open areas, facing the harsh realities of displacement with limited resources and inadequate protection.
Amid this crisis, Our Lebanese Soul is steadfast in its commitment to supporting displaced families, focusing primarily on the northern regions of Akkar and Tripoli. Thanks to the generosity of donors, our NGO has been able to deliver critical aid to those in dire need. These efforts are driven by a singular goal: to provide families with the essentials they require to survive and maintain their dignity during these challenging times.
The challenges ahead are immense, and the need for assistance grows daily. Every contribution helps us provide vital support to more families affected by this ongoing crisis. Your donation can directly supply essentials such as food, clothing, hygiene products, and bedding to those who have lost everything.
By standing with Our Lebanese Soul, you can bring hope to displaced families and show them they are not forgotten. Together, we can make a tangible difference in their lives and help rebuild a sense of safety and stability amidst the chaos.
